Pioneers

Occasionally the mechanics of two industries and their problems are so similar that’s its only natural for experts in one field to seek solutions in the other. The collaboration between cardiovascular and the oil and gas arose when Dr. Alan Lumsden visited a Galveston oil and gas museum, followed shortly by an ExxonMobil event where he met Dr. William Kline. The conversation turned to the remarkable overlap in their professionals and once Dr. Ioannis Kakadiaris, a computer science and biomedical engineer joined them, Pumps and Pipes was born.
